OLA Energy Announces the Appointment of its new CEO

Following a decision on 11 October 2021, the Board of Directors of OLA Energy is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Fayed Mohamed Altwair as CEO of OLA Energy. This appointment marks another important step in the development of OLA Energy.

Mr. Fayed Altwair succeeds Mr. Mazin Ramadan, who had held this position since 1 November 2018 and becomes the new CEO of OLA Energy. This announcement represents a continuity of the growth strategy as well as the significant work undertaken to transform OLA Energy in recent years.

Active in Africa since the early 1990s, OLA Energy is now present in 17 countries and provides local solutions to increase access to energy in Africa. By becoming CEO of OLA Energy, Mr. Fayed Altwair takes the helm of a company employing nearly 1,500 people with a distribution network of 1,280 service stations across the continent.

This decision aims at strengthening the group’s overall strategic framework. Mr. Fayed Altwair’s long experience in investment management coupled with his in-depth knowledge of the African continent and his expertise will enable him to play a key role in the growth of OLA Energy.
