Mr. Abozid Swalem brings a wealth of experience and expertise to OLA Energy. Prior to joining our team, he held several prominent positions in the energy and telecommunications sectors, where he consistently delivered outstanding results. His career is marked by a commitment to excellence, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of the industry’s dynamics.
Before joining OLA Energy, Mr. Swalem held several key positions that have honed his expertise and leadership skills. He served as the Chairman of the Board of Wadi Oil Services Co. of which he is also the Founding partner, where he played a crucial role in supervising and overseeing several technical and logistic services of large Libyan industry leading companies operating in the Energy sector. His leadership and forward-thinking approach have been instrumental in shaping the future of the organizations he has been a part of.

Since his nomination as Chairman in July 2023, Mr. Swalem has been instrumental in driving OLA Energy forward. Under his leadership, the company has:
- Improved its financial results with an EBIDTA increase of 33% and a NIAT increase of 158%
- Launched several key governance initiatives aimed at enhancing transparency, accountability, and ethical conduct across the organization.
